Edina Morningside Preschool
Edina Morningside Preschool is a half-day preschool, focused on preparing children for Kindergarten with a play-based and active learning environment. Our teaching focuses on the whole child with social development being just as important as academic skills. Your child will learn and grow in this enriched environment.
Low child to teacher ratio: allows for personal attention, deeper relationships, and the space to work and learn together.
Play-based active learning: children learn by playing, experimenting and experiencing their world.
Focus on social development: we work on skills to build friendships, engage with each other in group settings, and foster a love of learning for life.
Active environment: our facilities feature an outdoor playground and indoor space for large-muscle play.
Encouraging creativity: Art, music, language, and cooking opportunities are plentiful, providing children the time to express their creative passions in a supportive environment.
Learning skills for school: Our teachers work with a broad curriculum promoting learning through fun with letters, numbers, art, science and social studies.
Loving the whole child: Preschool children are developing important life skills. We encourage social and emotional development, cognitive learning, and large and small motor growth at every stage of development.

Destiny studied Early Childhood Development at the University of Minnesota, Go Gophers! She also worked with teenagers in the Minneapolis parks and elementary school children in Minneapolis. Preschool is her favorite age to teach and work with.
Destiny loves art and science, especially hands-on fun and nature exploration. She excels at helping kids work through their hurts, problems and frustrations.
She lives nearby in Minneapolis with her 11 year old son, Maceo! They enjoy music, traveling, camping and gardening together.
Beth has been at Morningside since spring of 2023 and is excited to start a new school yaer! She graduated from the U (Ski-U-Mah!) with a degree in Child Psychology with the intent to become a preschool teacher.
Beth lives in Chaska with her husband Andy and four children. In her spare time you can find her cheering on her baseball and soccer players, walking the trails, or with a good book.
